Description
You will work as an Applications Engineering, Staff Engineer at Synopsys, supporting customer tape-outs using PrimeTime, PrimeShield, PrimeClosure, and PrimePower. You will diagnose tool issues, methodology gaps, and setup problems under tight deadlines, working directly with customers at an engineering level to evaluate new features, run beta tests, and gather feedback that shapes product direction.
You will collaborate with R&D and product engineering teams to reproduce customer issues, propose enhancements, and drive adoption of newly released capabilities. Additionally, you will create and deliver technical training materials and presentations tailored to customer workflows and design challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC or SoC design. Strong working knowledge of static timing analysis concepts, including setup/hold checks, clock domain crossing, multi-mode multi-corner analysis, is required.
Experience using at least one of the following tools in a production environment: PrimeTime, PrimePower, PrimeClosure, PrimeShield, or equivalent sign-off tools, is also necessary. Fluency in English and Korean for customer-facing communication, technical documentation, and cross-regional collaboration is essential.
The successful candidate will directly influence whether complex SoC designs meet their timing, power, and signal integrity targets and tape out on schedule. They will build long-term technical relationships with leading semiconductor companies in South Korea, becoming their go-to resource for sign-off challenges.
