Description
As a Sr. Advanced Services Consulting Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will primarily work from an HPE office in Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
Your main responsibilities will be to represent HPE customer service to the customer and as a representative of the customer back to HPE. You will act as a consultant for post-sales customer service accounts for the customer, partners, and account team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the account/customer with alignment to services sales and product sales activities
- Tracking and managing the deliverables of HPE Premium Care, Advanced Care, and Optimization Service
- Proactively escalating and bringing people with required expertise together to bring critical and important issues to closure
- Acting as an interlock between Customer and HPE Professional Services, Advanced Services, and Engineering
- Conducting periodic reviews with internal teams/customer to review HPE service delivery metrics, SLA, and quality
- Using professional knowledge to review and assess open software defects and developing mitigation plans
- Delivering proactive consulting services such as technical analysis and recommendations
- Partnering with the customer in conducting periodic HPE product health checks to identify potential product improvement areas
- Reviewing and evaluating network plans and assisting in the planning of new feature implementation and product deployment
- Engaging with HPE engineering teams to improve potential quality issues with products
- Documenting and maintaining customer network solutions knowledge and educating other internal HPE resources
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
- Around 8-12 years of experience, preferably in a router/switch company
- Deep understanding of core IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, QoS, VLAN, STP, IPSEC, NAT, IPv6)
- Reasonable expertise in Layer2, Layer3 protocols such as VRRP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, MPLS VPN
- Knowledge and experience of the newest technologies such as Segment Routing, Traffic engineering, DC switching, VxLAN, EVPN, SD-WAN & Wireless
- Experience working in large enterprises, Network service providers
- Experience and desire to work on automation
- Amiable communication, interpersonal, and social skills
- HPE Juniper /Aruba/ Edge Connect product certifications (JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) or industry equivalents
