Description
Clissold Park PCN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work under the supervision of the Clinical Lead to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely supply of prescribed medication to patients. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support to Clinical Pharmacists and Clinicians, as well as support practice primary care teams with queries around medication from patients.
The Pharmacy Technician will be based at Barretts Grove, one of the PCN practices, working 7.5 hours per week on Wednesdays. The post is permanent and part-time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting PCN Clinical Pharmacists in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services
- Performing medicines improvement work to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing
- Processing repeat medication requests and issuing prescriptions in line with agreed clinical protocols
- Providing advice and guidance to patients regarding medication optimisation and lifestyle
- Liaising with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries
- Maintaining accurate patient medication records on the practice clinical computer system
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years of experience in a hospital, community, or primary care pharmacy
- GPhC Registered Pharmacy Technician, ideally CPPE Qualified
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmacy services
- Accredited Checking Technician
The salary range is £30,000 - £33,000 pro rata (inclusive of ILW), depending on experience.
