Lead, Data Center Security Delivery (Construction to Operations)

About the role

Anthropic is building data center campuses at a rapid pace, with multiple sites under construction simultaneously. As Lead for Data Center Security Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering security across the entire lifecycle of these projects, from construction to operations.

You will own security delivery for every campus under construction, ensuring that security scope is delivered as deliberately as the buildings themselves. Your responsibilities will include:

• Construction-phase security delivery: temporary site security, contractor vetting and access, protection of installed equipment, and coordination with general contractors and site teams.
• Milestone and commissioning acceptance: defining and maintaining security acceptance criteria, running or attending acceptance events, and issuing or withholding security sign-offs.
• Operator readiness verification: building and running a structured, evidence-based readiness process to prove the operating company is genuinely ready before handover.
• Clean handover to operations: owning the turnover package and defined transition from construction-phase to operational security ownership.
• Requirements and process authority: rewriting DCSE's construction-security requirements, delivery processes, and acceptance frameworks where they fail in the field.
• Representation and escalation: representing security in design reviews, OAC meetings, and change management; coordinating integrators, general contractors, and operator counterparts.

Minimum qualifications

• Personal experience delivering physical security scope on new-build data center construction projects.
• Experience running milestone- or commissioning-acceptance processes.
• Ability to hold operators, landlords, or vendors accountable to contractual security obligations.
• Comfortable being the person who says "not ready" and can do it in a way that produces a plan.
• Ability to absorb operational noise of multiple concurrent construction sites and drive each one toward its handover date.
• Experience authoring requirements, standards, and process documents that get adopted.

Preferred qualifications

• CPP or PSP certification, or commissioning credentials.
• Hyperscaler or major colocation new-build delivery experience.
• Experience on both sides of an operator/tenant relationship.
• Construction management or owner's-representative background.
• Experience in regulated or high-assurance environments.

The annual compensation range for this role is $290,000-$365,000 USD.
