Description
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Reg Calculations at Barclays, Chennai.
The role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating prudential regulatory reporting risks, providing oversight on regulatory reporting, and maintaining open communication with regulators to ensure the bank's activities and operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal control policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and assessing prudential regulatory reporting risks arising from the bank's activities, products, and services
- Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate prudential regulatory reporting risks
- Assessing the effectiveness of the bank's internal control processes and governance framework
- Preparing and submitting regulatory reports to authorities
- Analyzing and presenting regulatory data to provide insights into business performance
- Developing and implementing training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and compliance responsibilities
- Communicating and liaising with regulatory bodies
- Managing the selection, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory reporting systems and software applications
As an AVP, you will be expected to:
- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills
- Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions

- Basel 1, BASEL 2, BASEL 3 reporting/Pillar I, Pillar II reporting
- Corep Reporting, Regulatory control matrix, large exposure, Leverage Ratio
