Description
We are seeking a Sports Massage Therapist to join the team at Circle Reading Hospital, part of Circle Health Group. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
The successful candidate will deliver sports massage therapy to treat soft tissue dysfunction, reduce muscle tension, and support recovery from injury or exercise. Key responsibilities include:
- Adapting massage techniques to suit individual patient needs, conditions, and treatment goals
- Carrying out basic assessments of posture, range of motion, and soft tissue condition to inform therapy approach
- Communicating clearly with patients to explain treatment techniques, benefits, and aftercare advice
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, infection prevention, and professional conduct
- Keeping accurate, timely records of all treatments delivered, including patient feedback and progress notes
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Strong hands-on massage skills and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and injury recovery
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of professional boundaries and patient confidentiality
Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £20.00 per hour, depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
