Description
We are seeking a Senior GL Accountant for a 1-year fixed-term contract. As a Senior GL Accountant at Wolt, you will play a key role in shaping financial processes in a global tech company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage GL accounting for defined entities
- Process primary accounting documents and data input in the ERP system
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of primary accounting documents
- Implement and follow group accounting policies and principles
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Conduct month-end closing activities for defined entities
- Prepare financial statements
- Assist stakeholders with accounting-related questions
- Handle audit requests
- Prepare regulatory reports
Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Background in financial institutions or banking is a plus
- Knowledge of accounting and IFRS
- Familiarity with Finnish GAAP and preparation of Finnish financial statements
- Understanding of accounting processes
- Prior experience with SOX compliance is a plus
- Good analytical skills
- Degree in finance or accounting
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Fluent in English; Finnish language skills are preferred
