Description
We are seeking a Tools Programmer to join our team at Ubisoft Montreal. As a technical lead on the DocGPT platform, you will define the standards for tooling and ensure the reliability of the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Define the architecture of ingestion pipelines and administration tools, balancing robustness, maintainability, and deployment speed.
- Ensure the reliability of connectors to internal data sources, designing error mechanisms, recovery, and monitoring.
- Lead the development of the MCP server and its evolution based on integrating teams' needs.
- Identify bottlenecks in deployment processes and design automations to meet the pace.
- Define observability standards: instrumentation, alerts, dashboards.
- Mentor junior and intermediate members on best practices for tooling and software reliability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in developing tools, data pipelines, or internal platforms in production.
- Mastery of Python for designing robust backend services: REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask, automation scripts, connectors.
- Proven experience in designing reliable ingestion pipelines: idempotence, error management, retry, monitoring.
- Good mastery of AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM/IRSA, Secrets Manager), Databricks, and containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Experience with GitOps tools (Flux or Argo CD) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
- Mastery of observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and comfort with ambiguity; good communication with client teams of various profiles.
