As a Manufacturing Operations Intern in the Manufacturing Operations Team, you'll contribute to a defined project or set of tasks supporting silicon packaging or printed circuit board assembly production in Taiwan. Your tasks could include analysing performance data, helping investigate hardware or software issues, or supporting quality planning and process checks.
You'll join Manufacturing Operations in Bristol, working alongside Product Test, Quality and Supply Chain. Colleagues across the UK, Taiwan and India collaborate with design teams and development partners to solve manufacturing challenges. Experienced engineers and operations specialists will guide you through your tasks and help you understand how data and customer requirements inform decisions.
Over the 12 weeks, you'll explore how engineering decisions affect a finished product and its journey through a global supply chain. Working with manufacturing data and practical investigations will help you connect your studies with real production challenges.
We're looking for someone currently studying towards a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field, with a basic understanding of semiconductor or electronics design and manufacturing principles. Some experience using programming or technical tools such as Python, Linux, Bash or Git is also required.
