Description
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital on a part-time basis, working 28 hours per week.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will provide specialist technical support to the pharmacy department and other areas of the hospital that stock medicines, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in delivering pharmaceutical care to meet patients' health and wellbeing needs
- Assessing people's health and wellbeing within the context of their medicines
- Managing the movement and storage of medicines
- Establishing and maintaining communication with people about pharmacy activities and medicines
- Modifying and structuring data, information, computer records, and stock management documents
- Developing own knowledge and skills and contributing to the development of others
- Contributing to quality improvement and promoting people's equality, diversity, and rights
Requirements:
- B. Tech National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, City & Guilds of London Institute – Dispensing Technicians Certificate, Scottish/National Vocational Qualifications (S/NVQ) level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent
- Experience of working in a pharmaceutical department and administrative duties
- Competent in a range of pharmaceutical activities with theoretical knowledge acquired during qualification
- Possess the mandatory training requirements for the role, including infection control and health and safety competencies
- Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages
Working hours: Any days Monday - Saturday, likely across 4 days a week (alternate Saturdays with day off in the week) Department hours: 9am to 6pm
