Description
We are seeking a Solutions Engineer (Service Provider) - Network & Data center to join our team in Minato, Japan. As a Solutions Engineer, you will work with our service provider customers to solve their challenges and expand their businesses using Cisco's wide range of products and services.
You will collaborate with our sales team to identify customer needs and develop technical solutions to meet those needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and analyzing customer requirements
- Developing and presenting proposals for Cisco solutions
- Creating presentation materials and conducting demonstrations
- Conducting proof-of-concept tests and reporting results
- Providing technical support and answering customer inquiries
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver solutions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of pre-sales experience with network-related equipment, particularly routers and switches
- Knowledge and experience with Data Center Network technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, and RoCE
- Experience with proof-of-concept tests, demos, and verification activities
- Excellent Japanese communication skills
- Leadership skills to lead teams and projects
- Proactive attitude to work on customer behalf
- Eagerness to take on new challenges
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with service provider customers
- Knowledge of AI Data Center Infrastructure
- Familiarity with virtualization and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of network programmability and automation concepts
- Cisco solution expertise
- English language skills
- Cisco technical certifications, such as CCIE
