Description
We are seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for using advanced knowledge of the job to advise pharmacy techs on order fulfillment and related activities. You will also be responsible for the distribution of workload and monitoring of workflow for members to ensure assigned work is completed timely and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring daily workflow in the pharmacy
- Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts internal and external to the department
- Support and train new employees, and identify ongoing training needs of tenured employees that require retraining
- Understand and help manage inventory processes (cycle count, new drug additions, reverse distribution)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Pharmacy technician license in the state of Indiana
- 6+ Months of Leadership Experience
- Basic math and computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate peak volume times
Physical Requirements:
- Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently
- Perform repetitive motion with fingers, hands, and arms
- Work may be in confined areas close to machinery
- Work may be performed in an environment with varying levels of noise
