Winter 2027 Propulsion Engineer Co-op

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

You will be a critical member of the team for selection and integration of aircraft engines, engine components, and fuel systems on unmanned air vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Design, fabricate, and test prototype components and control systems.
• Plan, instrument, and execute tests of aircraft propulsion systems.
• Coordinate with engine vendors, develop strategic partnerships, and manage development projects.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
• Participate in CAD design for internal aerodynamic loft, surfaces, and structures.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• U.S. Person status due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16 to 24-week internship in one of our offices in winter 2027.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of jet and piston engine fundamentals.
• Experience with use of engine cycle decks.
• Exposure to testing of engines or powertrain components.
• Experience designing mechanical parts and surface loft (CAD).
• Understanding of manufacturing methods.
• Experience in NX/Teamcenter.
• Hands-on experience with jet engine testing.
• Knowledge and experience working with Engine Management Systems (EMS).
• Experience procuring parts and working in a machine shop.
