Description
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at WSP, you will be responsible for HVAC system design, coordination, and integration in building projects, covering all phases from design development to project administration.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design process, promoting cost-effective and innovative solutions
- Coordinating project documentation and reviewing team inputs
- Conducting site inspections, overseeing HVAC installation and commissioning, and attending project meetings
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure HVAC design intent and compliance with codes and standards
- Identifying and managing risks, ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual processes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or above in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering design experience and knowledge in Mechanical systems
- Prior experience in engineering consulting work, particularly in Healthcare Facilities or project management, will be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of relevant Healthcare-related guidelines, such as HTM/ASHRAE/CIBSE, will also be beneficial
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
