Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary You'll work in a fast-paced environment, using your skills and talents to serve and care for patients and customers. You'll be responsible for managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks, ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient and customer needs in a friendly and caring manner
• Manage and process prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct at all times
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other technicians to achieve workflow efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with knowledge and skills through ongoing training and development

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Licensure requirements vary by state
• Strong attention and focus, with ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction
• Excellent customer service orientation, with ability to actively listen and respond to customer needs
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Mathematical reasoning skills, with ability to calculate day's supply of prescriptions
• Ability to resolve problems and make sound judgments in complex situations

Physical Demands

• Remaining upright on feet for sustained periods
• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
• Picking, pinching, typing, or working with fingers
• Extending hands and arms in any direction
• Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• PTCB National Certification

Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
