Description
We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at The Allis Soho House Chicago.
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serving food, and providing exceptional service to our guests and members.
Main Duties:
- Prepare cocktails, juices, coffee, and other drinks to the highest standard
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including washing glassware and utensils
- Educate guests and members about our beverage options
- Discuss daily specials and seasonal menu items to promote additional sales
- Collect payment and operate a cash register
- Check identification and ensure age requirements are met
- Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays
- Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Monitor inventory and delegate replenishment tasks
- Mix ingredients according to drink recipes
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume food and beverage operation
- Craft cocktail experience and knowledge of seasonally influenced perishable items
- Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests efficiently
- Strong communication and people skills
- Flexible schedule and reliable
- Tips certified
- Micros a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Occasional kneeling, bending, and crouching required
