Join our innovative float team at Aurora! Float therapists are provided the training and resources to treat at outpatient clinic locations, no more than 45 minutes from their home.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret physician referrals and complete musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations.
- Establish a plan of care and implement individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals.
- Monitor and evaluate outcomes and adjust the individualized treatment plan as needed.
- Plan for and complete patient discharge, including providing written home programs and patient/family teaching.
- Complete all required documentation, including patient progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Clean up after patient treatment and maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
- Demonstrate skill in use of modalities, exercise equipment, and other devices.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and manage assigned caseload.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education courses and department inservices.
Requirements:
- Physical Therapist license issued by the state in which the team member practices (Wisconsin or Illinois).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
