Mobile Phlebotomist

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for accurately collecting and handling patient laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing in various settings, including Intermountain and non-Intermountain facilities, patient homes, and health fair settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy and be able to work independently with little or no on-site support. You will be required to safely travel to contracted facilities and patient homes to perform collections, adhere to personal protective requirements, and maintain accurate patient logs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen collection using various techniques such as venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections
• Collect specimens from patients of varying acuities in different settings
• Adhere to and enforce standards for laboratory compliance and safety regulations
• Safely travel to contracted facilities and patient homes to perform collections
• Maintain accurate patient logs and monitor patient scheduling systems
• Participate in special projects and quality assurance processes
• Develop skills such as specimen processing, training and mentoring new staff, and technical writing

Requirements:

• BLS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current driver's license, insured and reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record required
• One year of Intermountain Laboratory Services phlebotomy experience or phlebotomy training/certification preferred
