This role is onsite at our office in Memphis, TN. Shift for this position is M-F 1:30 - 10:00 PM, plus every other Saturday. Will have Friday off when working Saturday.
As a Pharmacist, you will interpret physicians' prescriptions and compound and dispense medications within regulatory guidelines. You will manage the workflow in the Fulfillment operations to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of patient orders upon request. Through Standard Operating Procedure and professional judgement, you will handle complex problems to resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.
- Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals.
- Supervise the work results of support personnel.
- Maintain current registration, study existing and new legislation, anticipate legislation, and advise management on needed actions.
- Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
- Strong focus on customer service, quality, and accuracy.
- Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines.
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times.
Preferred Requirements:
- Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE), BS in Pharmacy, or PHARMD.
- Valid state pharmacist license.
