Description
We are seeking an Elementary Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year at Brooke Charter Schools in Boston, MA.
As an elementary teacher at Brooke, you are part of a team that sets the tone for student growth and learning. You are the leader of your classroom and build strong relationships with students in order to push them to be their best selves both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a class of 16-23 students to academic success in all subjects (excluding Science in 3-5 classrooms) through whole-class instruction and targeted individual support.
- Participate in regular data meetings, engage in approximately 20 administrative observations, and participate in nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of every student.
Requirements:
- Earn a Bachelor’s degree
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher
- Be committed to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias
- Believe that great teaching closes the achievement gap and have an unwavering belief in your students’ capabilities
- Be professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
