We are Brooke Charter Schools, a network of four public charter schools serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. Our mission is to coach and invest in our teachers so that they can help our students achieve at the highest levels and graduate from college.
As a Multilingual Learner Coordinator - ESL Teacher, you will coordinate ESL services and provide direct instruction to small groups of students. You will develop English language proficiency goals that are clear and measurable and track student success in meeting these goals. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating and administering state-mandated and ML identification assessments, coordinating redesignation assessments, monitoring EML students, and maintaining ML records in compliance with DESE regulations.
The role involves working collaboratively with teachers and sharing best practices to ensure high-quality sheltered content instruction is provided. The hours for this role are 7:15-4:20 daily, with a competitive salary range of $74,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience. Licensed ML coordinators will also earn an additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree
- A valid Massachusetts ESL teaching license
- At least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher
- A commitment to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to start in July 2027
