Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer for overhead transmission line design to join our Power and transmission team in GCC Sweden. You will support our portfolio of power networks, generation, and infrastructure projects, focusing on overhead transmission line design. As part of our team, you will interact with colleagues from other engineering teams, clients, and regulators to understand requirements and negotiate solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical abstracts from feasibility studies and specifications.
- Conduct sag-tension calculations using PLS CADD with defined weathering conditions as per international standards.
- Perform loading calculations in Excel and PLS CADD.
- Prepare PLS tower models according to international codes.
- Spot towers using Lidar data.
- Create engineering documents related to transmission tower and foundation design.
- Attend virtual site meetings and provide ongoing design drawing changes and support during project builds.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering standards.
Key Competencies / Skills:
- Proven experience in designing UK or Nordic overhead line circuits at voltages up to 400kV.
- Familiarity with PLS Tower/PLS Pole for tower development is advantageous.
- Mandatory skill in tower spotting using PLS CADD.
- Eurocode experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, wood transmission line pole design, and structural design.

- Effective negotiation with internal and external clients.
- Deliver high-quality designs and deliverables meeting technical schedules.
- Good communication skills, teamwork, and experience working with countries outside India.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the domain.
- Pursuing professional qualifications is preferred.
