Description
We are seeking a qualified Robot Operator - Paint 2 to join our team at the Alabama Auto Plant. As a Robot Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the daily operations of our paint department through equipment readiness, proper root cause analysis and countermeasure activity, new model introduction, cycle time achievement, and Department KPI achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain assigned equipment/robots to achieve targeted downtime and run rate
- Participate in zone quality through quarterly inspections and monitoring of equipment applications
- Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise
- Support Business plan themes within assigned zone
- Communicate clearly through daily reporting to ensure shift-to-shift understanding of activity and pending items
- Create and complete Maximo Work-orders and PM's (Preventative Maintenance) through Maximo
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 0-2 years production/equipment related experience required, 2 years of Honda service (1 year contingent applies)
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of measuring gauges, quality fixtures and cutting tools
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Preferred understanding of ABB/Fanuc program layout and function, paint characteristics, robotic calibration and maintenance, quality control and defect analysis
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long durations of time
- Working in a fast-paced production area
- Lifting up to 35 lbs.
- 0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
- Daily, weekly, weekend and holiday overtime are required and will vary
- Ability to work varying/rotating shifts for extended periods of time if requested
