Description
The Staffing Placement Specialist is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing resource allocation across multiple nursing units. This involves working closely with charge nurses and the House Supervisor to maintain accurate scheduling and timekeeping. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily schedule maintenance for each nursing unit served
- Enter schedule changes within 72 hours as requested by nursing unit managers
- Ensure shift resolution in scheduling software
- Participate in staffing coordination meetings
- Coordinate placement of personnel to fill shift vacancies
- Communicate with Charge Nurses regarding staffing coverage levels
- Distribute staff to meet facility needs
- Collaborate with House Supervisors for resource placement
- Serve as point of contact for unscheduled vacancies
- Assist in new staff orientation
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette
- Provide status reports on caregiver placements
- Communicate regularly with House Supervisors to resolve staffing issues
Requirements:
- Six months of healthcare or customer service experience
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software
- Self-directed and motivated with strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and problem-solve independently
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to function well in a team environment
- Prioritisation and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with staffing, scheduling, or timekeeping
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Scheduler and Kronos Timekeeper
The hourly range for this part-time position is $19.41 - $28.14.
