Description
The Director of Facilities Management provides strategic leadership and oversight for clinic property and facility needs, including construction, space planning, lease administration, and environmental health and safety functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and coordination to facilities planning and management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive facilities Master Plan
- Oversee and evaluate facilities management operations and staff
- Ensure optimal integration, synergy, and cost-efficiency in space development
- Lead initiatives for energy efficiency and sustainability
- Assume responsibility for physical security, environmental conditions, and workplace safety
- Prepare disaster and contingency plans for facility needs
- Establish and implement effective department procedures
- Design, establish, and maintain an organisational structure and staffing
- Develop and manage annual budgets for facilities departments
- Perform periodic cost and productivity analyses
- Establish short- and long-range facility renovation and renewal goals
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in facilities management
- Advanced leadership skills and ability to coordinate multiple programs
- Demonstrated skill in capital and facilities budget management
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of real estate management principles and techniques
- Experience with reviewing, drafting, and managing facility leases and vendor contracts
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
