Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Trades Helper Painter Trainee to join our team at GDIT in Pawcatuck, CT.
As a Maintenance Trades Helper Painter Trainee, you will be responsible for spray painting using HVLP spray guns, reading and understanding Tech Data Sheets for mixing and applying different paint systems, and properly preparing parts for paint using sanders and occasionally sandblasting.
Responsibilities:
- Spray paint using HVLP spray guns
- Read and understand Tech Data Sheets for mixing and applying different paint systems
- Properly prepare parts for paint using sanders and occasionally sandblasting
- Use small hand tools such as dial calipers, tape measures, and scales
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of related experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Technical or Vocational Training preferred but not required
- US Citizenship Required
- Ability to work independently and pay attention to details
- Ability to read basic blueprints
- Attention to detail, reliability, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, self-motivated, and willing to invest in showing initiative and quality craftsmanship
