Job Summary: As a Kitchen Assistant at ibis Budget BH Minascentro, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-preparation and preparation of food, including washing, cleaning, cutting, and organizing ingredients.
- Support pastry production (sweets, cakes, etc.) when required.
- Check food validity and proper storage.
- Help with buffet setup and replenishment, coffee breaks, and staff meals, focusing on presentation.
- Participate in area control and team briefings.
- Maintain personal hygiene, food, utensils, and kitchen environment according to food safety standards.
- Represent the brand values and contribute to guest experience personalization, sharing information with the reception team.
- Implement sustainable practices related to selective waste collection and conscious water and energy use.
Requirements:
- Basic education.
- Basic knowledge of cooking and food safety best practices.
- Experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Basic knowledge of cooking.
- Basic English.
Working Conditions:
- 12x36 shift schedule.
- Working hours: 06:00 - 18:00 or 18:00 - 06:00.
