We're looking for an Average Adjuster to support shipowners, insurers, and brokers worldwide in the resolution of marine insurance claims. As a trusted advisor, you'll guide clients through complex claims processes, interpret policy wordings, and calculate policy liabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse intricate facts and adjust claims to reach correct and equitable settlements using knowledge of relevant insurance law and adjusting practice
- Collaborate with legal and industry experts to identify and resolve disputes
- Communicate clearly with clients, including shipowners, insurers, brokers, and legal professionals
- Interpret policy wordings and calculate claims
Requirements:
- Experience in marine claims adjusting or prior experience in marine insurance, claims handling, or average adjusting
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Conscientious and hard working
