The Starting Hourly Rate is $20.00 USD per hour, with a Pay Range of $20.00 USD - $30.00 USD per hour.

As a Target Security Specialist, you will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in:
- Using intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure
- Crisis response, safety, and crowd management
- De-escalation and physical security controls
- Using Target's video surveillance system
- Timely and accurate documentation of cases
Typical responsibilities include:
- Creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience
- Greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues
- Supporting team efforts and assisting peers
- Promoting a physical security culture
- Responding to and documenting security incidents
- Leveraging de-escalation tactics and resources
- Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and providing theft apprehension support
- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of the store
- Submitting documentation in the case management system
- Understanding and using Target's video surveillance system
- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
Physical demands:
- Climbing up and down ladders
- Apprehending subjects in accordance with company policy
- Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements
