We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our team in Madrid.
Linklaters provides top-notch legal counsel for corporate operations, working with leading companies, funds, banks, and market institutions.
Our Madrid office offers sophisticated advice on all areas of Spanish labour law and social security, collaborating closely with Linklaters' international employment team to provide high-quality counsel on multi-jurisdictional operations.
Responsibilities
As part of our Employment team, you will be involved in:
- Advising on labour aspects of corporate and financial transactions (due diligence, share purchase agreements, incentive plans, executive contracts)
- Handling Temporary Employment Regulation Files (ERTE), Collective Dismissals (ERE) and individual dismissals, business restructurings, substantial changes to working conditions, and geographical mobility procedures
- Drafting employment contracts and service agreements
- Developing equality plans
- Providing general advice (temporary hiring, remote work, working hours, dismissals, executive contracts, restrictive covenants, etc.)
- Representing and assisting in conciliation and court proceedings
Requirements
We are looking for a lawyer with 7-8 years of experience in labour law at a law firm. Advanced English language skills are essential.
