Description
Deutsche Bank's Strategic Investment Group (SIG) is seeking a Deal Sourcing professional (VP level or below) to join its strategic investment and distressed credit franchise in Japan.
The role will focus primarily on sourcing distressed loan opportunities from Japanese bank clients, while also providing support to the SIG investment analyst team in areas such as asset management, including direct engagement with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key Japanese bank clients to originate deal opportunities
- Ensuring appropriate credit oversight to support effective sourcing activities and strategy development
- Identifying attractive credit investment opportunities in close collaboration with the Investment Analyst team
- Working closely with external loan servicers to execute acquisitions and manage non-performing loan portfolio assets
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Japanese banking industry, financial advisory firms, and/or credit investment companies or funds
- Strong ability to identify attractive investment and financing opportunities
- Native level Japanese and business level English proficiency
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, accounting, engineering, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
