Description
The Utah County Sheriff's Department is seeking a Sheriff Deputy II-Judicial to perform court security services and assigned law enforcement activities under the general direction of a Sergeant-Enforcement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform court security services
- Assigned law enforcement activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One (1) year of work experience in the capacity of a certified Law Enforcement Officer
- Current Utah Law Enforcement Officer certification through the Utah State Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Agency
- Valid driver's license and obtain a valid State of Utah Driver's License within sixty (60) days of employment
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Maintain POST certification and successfully complete required annual training
- Successfully complete annual Emergency Vehicle Operation training
- Maintain annual weapons qualification for all assigned weapons
- Submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check
