Focus Interpreting is seeking a dedicated Hebrew Interpreter to join our interpretation team.
The interpreter will provide accurate and professional interpretation services between Hebrew and English in-person or through Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional Hebrew-English interpretation services onsite and remotely via VRI.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication in a variety of settings.
- Accurately interpret spoken communication from Hebrew into English and from English into Hebrew in real time.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and interpretation standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, cultural sensitivity, accuracy, and attention to detail during all interpretation sessions.
- Stay informed about relevant terminology and developments in the Hebrew language to ensure high-quality interpretation.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Hebrew and English.
- Must be based in the United States, near Chatsworth preferred.
- Certification, training, or qualifications in interpretation preferred but not required.
- Prior experience with VRI interpretation preferred.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in real time.
- Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to provide culturally sensitive interpretation.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment for VRI services.
