Description
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Elm Grove Care Home in Cirencester. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents.
The successful candidate will have a passion for food, previous experience working in a kitchen, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will be responsible for acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents, assisting the chefs to plate meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
- Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys, and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
- Monitoring stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures, and following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines
- Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
