Description
London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a qualified Adult Audiologist to join their busy Audiology department across Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and Ealing Hospital.
The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services for adults, working flexibly across multiple sites. They will be involved in training BSC students and some research.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting full audiological assessments of patients
- Developing and implementing Individual Plans for patients
- Carrying out examinations of the ear by Otoscopy
- Analysing results to determine the next stage of diagnostics required
- Modifying ear moulds using laboratory equipment
- Selecting appropriate hearing aids and prescription formulae based on diagnostic test results
- Accurately fitting digital hearing aids to patients
- Evaluating hearing aid fittings using real ear/probe microphone measurements
Requirements:
- BSc Audiology Honours degree or equivalent qualification
- Registration or eligibility with RCCP/HCPC registration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively
This post is suitable for newly qualified graduate audiologists.
The salary range is £36,943 to £44,900 a year, inclusive of High Cost Area Supplement, on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working full-time.
