Description
The Parchmore Group is seeking a part-time Health Care Assistant to work at both sites. The successful candidate will offer nursing, administrative, and general assistance to the Primary Health Care Team based in General Practice.
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) will liaise closely with and report directly to the Nurse Lead and other Health Care Professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing skills in respecting patients'/clients' rights, preferences, choices, culture, identity, communication, Health and Safety, and promoting health
- Maintaining patient/client confidentiality at all times
- Acting as a chaperone as required to GPs and other clinicians
- Assisting in general nursing duties on completion of a training programme and the successful assessment of a set standard competency level and under the supervision of the Practice Nursing team
- Re-stocking of all clinical areas and maintaining a stock rotation system
- Providing phlebotomy services to patients
- Carrying out simple wound dressings
- Instructing patients in appropriate techniques and tasks
- Carrying out NHS Health Checks on eligible patients

The salary for this role is £20,037.48 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
