Description
We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Electrical to work on electrical building services designs for Railway Stations and other Railway Buildings. You will work individually or as part of a team to prepare, coordinate, and monitor projects from conception to completion. You will also supervise and mentor Assistant Engineers/Engineers in day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities:
- Design low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt) including UPS sources
- Operate AMTECH/Electrical OM software for low voltage system design
- Design general and emergency lighting systems
- Use industry-standard lighting design software
- Design cable management systems (CMS) including trunking, tray, and conduits
- Present designs onto schematic and 2D layout drawings
- Model 3D MEP services using Bentley Microstation and AECOsim
- Understand BIM and work within a Common Data Environment
- Supervise and verify designers'/modellers' work
- Interpret client specification requirements
- Operate Microsoft Office package
- Guide Assistant Engineers/Engineers in electrical design development
- Experience in electrical design in Rail environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional membership and qualification (CEng) from International professional institutions
