Description
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the company's mission to improve healthcare. You will work closely with the Pharmacy team to provide an excellent experience for patients, participate in the prescription filling process, and engage in patient counseling.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of the prescription filling process
- Provide patient counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care
- Offer health screenings and immunizations when appropriate
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure patient safety
- Assist pharmacy patients and front-store customers with questions
- Manage inventory and adhere to regulatory requirements
Additionally, you will be expected to:
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
- Motivate and inspire the Pharmacy team to provide excellent patient care
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to the development of solutions to drive growth and improve performance
- Support the implementation of solutions to achieve specified goals
- Adapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting
- Stay current with new developments, initiatives, and training to provide the best experience for patients
- Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
Requirements:
- Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state where employed
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy
