Description
We are seeking an experienced public health engineer to join our team in Bristol or Cardiff as a Senior to Principal Public Health Design Engineer (Building Services).
You will play a key role in delivering prestigious projects, primarily in the aviation, healthcare, and defence sectors. As a client-facing representative of WSP, you will provide innovative and sustainable solutions, incorporating our philosophies of sustainability, net zero carbon, digital design, modern methods of construction, and smart systems into your design work.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in public health engineering delivery, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions
- Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements
- Apply technical judgment and resourcefulness to feasibility studies, concept, scheme, and detailed design, as well as construction support phases of projects
- Manage junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team
- Ensure compliance with UK public health building services design standards, codes, and regulations
Requirements:
- Working knowledge experience in UK public health building services design
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage junior engineers
- Technical judgment and resourcefulness in design and project delivery
- Client-facing skills and ability to deliver client needs
- Ability to manage technical, cost, and programme elements of project delivery
- UK Security Check (SC) vetting level
