Description

Join our innovative float team at Aurora as a Float Therapist. You will provide musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary evaluations and treatments to patients at outpatient clinic locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret physician referrals and complete evaluations using appropriate methods.
  • Establish a plan of care and implement individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate outcomes, adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
  • Plan for and complete patient discharge, including providing written home programs and patient/family teaching.
  • Complete required documentation, including patient progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Clean up after patient treatment and maintain a neat and orderly workspace.

Requirements:

  • Physical Therapist license issued by the state in which you practice (Wisconsin or Illinois).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, up to 10 lbs. from waist to overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height.
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
