Description
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at CVS Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within our store. You will be the first point of contact for patients and customers, assisting them with their needs and providing an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including filling prescriptions, processing payments, and maintaining patient records
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Operate the pharmacy's workflow management system, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to CVS Health's standards for cleanliness and safety
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on new medications, procedures, and technologies
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
Requirements:
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must be at least 16 years of age (if the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent required (if the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
