Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide.
The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to facility maintenance functions, ensuring the smooth operation of facility maintenance activities and providing timely assistance to facility maintenance teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and repairing grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment, and related utilities
- Inspecting malfunctioning equipment and assisting with corrective actions required to restore machinery to satisfactory operating conditions
- Assisting with monitoring the work environment and identifying potential equipment safety hazards that need to be addressed
- Preparing emergency plans and maintaining physical preparedness designed to assist and protect employees in emergency situations
- Communicating assignments of asset management system work orders
- Completing training programs that focus on basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures
- Preparing weekly maintenance operational calendars that outline upcoming events and project schedules
- Coaching junior colleagues on maintenance best practices and standard operating procedures
- Assisting with the training of junior-level staff to promote the development of departmental capabilities
Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of work experience
- Working knowledge of problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High School Diploma
