Description

Join the BBC as a Content Creator apprentice and kick-start your career in a job you'll love. You'll learn on-the-job, developing your knowledge and skills in creating engaging, impactful content across a range of platforms.

As a Content Creator apprentice, you'll be deeply involved in the BBC's YouTube activity, helping to develop ideas, create and publish content, analyse performance, and learn what makes digital content succeed.

Your key responsibilities and impact will include:

  • Playing a part in creating trusted, high-quality content for BBC audiences.
  • Growing your storytelling skills through hands-on experience researching, writing, producing, and editing content on a range of subjects.
  • Developing your digital content skills by monitoring audience trends and creating content for social media platforms.
  • Spotting opportunities for digital content, including short clips, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, and talent-led extras.
  • Learning from experienced professionals, collaborating with expert teams, and developing your career at the world's largest public service broadcaster.

You'll study for your industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means that as well as learning on your placement at the BBC, you'll also attend learning blocks with our learning provider, working towards an industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification - Level 3 Content Creator.

The scheme is designed to equip you with the skills to create engaging, impactful content across a range of platforms. You'll learn how to plan and develop creative ideas, research target audiences, and produce audio, visual, and written content suitable for different channels.

This hands-on, immersive programme combines practical workshops, interactive sessions, assignments, and collaborative group projects. You'll gain experience in creating, recording, and editing video and audio content, while developing your planning, presentation, and pitching skills.

The BBC offers excellent career and professional development, fair pay and flexible benefits, including a competitive salary package, a 35-hour working week, 25 days annual leave, and a defined pension scheme.

As an apprentice, you'll also receive an industry-recognised qualification, industry-leading training through the BBC Academy and our learning providers, a dedicated Team Manager and Scheme Specialist to help with your development, training and mentoring by industry professionals, and employability and networking training and support to help you secure your next role.
