What You'll Be Doing
You'll join the Consumer Tech team, focusing on the end-to-end customer journey. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and scaling Android applications for complex, real-time interactions at a global scale.
- Leading architectural improvements and code reviews for maintainability and operational health.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to plan projects and influence the roadmap.
- Owning large-scale features from design to delivery, simplifying maintenance and promoting operational readiness.
- Mentoring colleagues and supporting the engineering hiring process.
What You'll Need to Thrive
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience building Android applications at scale with deep understanding of Android SDK, AndroidX, and modern development tools.
- Proven ability to scale Android architecture for high-performance mobile experiences.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java with a keen interest in pushing Kotlin boundaries.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery within cross-functional teams.
- Pride in software craft with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
