Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary You'll work in a fast-paced environment, using your skills and talents to serve and care for our patients and customers. You'll be responsible for managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks, ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Concentrate on tasks over a period of time without distraction
• Provide excellent customer service, actively looking for ways to help people
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both verbally and in writing
• Use mathematical reasoning to solve problems, such as calculating day's supply of a prescription
• Resolve problems and make sound judgments when faced with complex situations

Physical Demands

• Remain upright on feet for sustained periods
• Move about on foot to accomplish tasks
• Pick, pinch, type, or work primarily with fingers
• Extend hands and arms in any direction
• Bend body downward and forward
• Stoop to a considerable degree

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Licensure requirements vary by state

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• PTCB National Certification

Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
