Description
As a Senior Engineer - Facade with WSP in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, you will support the UK team as part of the Façade Engineering Team. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with top experts on exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous feedback to the Local Head of CRC on protocol effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Develop positive professional relationships with the WSP UK Team, communicating openly about project progress.
- Participate in project meetings, team meetings, and disseminate information within the team.
- Identify and manage potential risk issues, following company commercial and contracting processes.
- Manage delegated tasks, ensuring deadlines are met, and flag resourcing concerns.
- Identify additional fees and communicate them to the Local Head of CRC.
- Accurately complete timesheets ahead of weekly deadlines.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on potential cladding materials.
- Prepare design reports for various project stages, including concept, scheme, and detail.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, environmental engineers, fire engineers, acousticians, and contractors.
- Assist in writing and reviewing reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in façade design/engineering or relevant industry experience.
- Willingness to progress towards Incorporated Engineer/Chartered Engineer status.
- Interest in façades/cladding market and understanding of façade systems' impact on building structure and environmental performance.
- In-depth technical and design skills related to building envelope design and detailing.
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g., Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper).
- Familiarity with analysis software tools (e.g., Strand7, ANSYS, Solid Works).
- Understanding of international codes, including European standards.

- Proficiency in Façade Embodied Carbon Assessment.
