Description
We are seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our City & Hackney Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. The successful candidate will provide Consultant input and clinical leadership to the Adolescent Mental Health Pathway four days per week, as well as contribute to the assessment clinic and the consultant duty rota.
The role of the Consultant is to provide psychiatric assessment and treatment, contribute a psychiatric perspective, provide senior clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, offer consultation to other professionals and agencies, and facilitate the development of the team and wider service.
The post-holder will have a small caseload of around 15 patients, as well as providing psychiatric assessments of other young people as required. Liaison with Tier 4 inpatient services, CAMHS extended crisis service (CECS), and the developing Home Treatment Team (HTT) is a key expectation of the role.
The salary for this post is £113,565 to £150,569 per annum, pro-rata.

Requirements:
- Full GMC registration
- MRCPsych parts 1&2 or equivalent
- Extensive range of clinical knowledge and excellent clinical skills
- Experience of assessment and management of CYP with complex mental health disorders
