Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders straight to their doorsteps. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, and communicate with customers to provide a thoughtful, friendly, and helpful delivery service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver groceries to customers on time and in great condition
- Complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean, and organised
- Follow planned routes and drive safely in various locations
- Move containers weighing up to 15kg and deliver shopping to a variety of properties
- Communicate with customers, including keeping them informed of any delays
Requirements:
- Friendly and welcoming with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
- Comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in different locations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment
- Able to use initiative, solve problems, and make safe decisions while out on the road
- Flexibility and willingness to work across the store and take on new challenges
