Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders straight to their doorsteps. You will be the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep, making customers feel valued through a thoughtful, friendly, and helpful delivery service.
You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers on time and in great condition. You will complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean, and organised, and that customers' shopping is secure before setting off.
Responsibilities include:
- Being the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep
- Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van
- Completing checks on the van and customers' shopping
- Following planned routes and driving safely
- Moving containers weighing up to 15kg
- Communicating with customers
Requirements:
- Friendly and welcoming with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
- Comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment
- Able to use initiative, solve problems, and make safe decisions
- Enjoys working independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to work across the store
