Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team in Chippewa Falls, WI. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating 3D models and engineering drawings under the supervision of engineers. You will work as a project team member to accomplish regular MCAD drafting tasks and organize project timelines in conjunction with engineers and the engineering manager.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare 3D models, drawings, and miscellaneous tasks as needed by engineers or other team members
- Support the project team's collective effort
- Perform CAD assignments in accordance with company standards
- Enter data into PDM systems as needed
- Assist with preparation work required for final mechanical reviews
- Maintain dynamic communication with engineers for any engineering issues
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Mechanical Design Degree
- Typically, 1-2 years of mechanical design experience
- Sound knowledge of design principles of engineering
- Good computer, numeracy, and communication skills
- Good understanding of 3D modeling processes and PDM systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creative flair
- Ability to meet fixed deadlines and work as a team member
